The main devices I used to develop it were fragmentation; basically throughout the entire piece, rhythmic diminution; like at the end of the 4th phrase where the ending of the original motif is in double time, varied repetition; i.e. all the harmonising particularly between the piccolo and flute, sequencing; the original motif is already sequenced but i used it even more, for instance the ascending clarinet pattern in the 4th phrase and displacement; like how in the 3rd phrase I moved the notes of the original motif to the beginning of the bars. tadaaaa
